I am not political pundit and I don’t make windy speeches. I’m a straight shooter – an honest and hardworking, ordinary citizen who plays by the book.

I am a first-generation immigrant who came to this country as an undergraduate student in the 1980s. From those early days, I gained firsthand experience with the financial struggles faced by students and our parents; all working hard to meet obligations, stretch limited resources, and persevere through uncertainty.

Like many Americans, my career journey has included both opportunity and hardship. I have experienced corporate growth and downsizing, riding the highs and lows of a demanding professional life.

I am running for McHenry County Treasurer to bring a lifetime of personal and professional experience to work for the taxpayers of McHenry County with integrity, accountability, and common-sense leadership.

A strong local economy is the foundation of a strong community, and responsible financial leadership matters to every taxpayer. 

My focus is simple: to ensure your hard-earned tax dollars are managed wisely, invested responsibly, and protected for future generations.

I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Finance, with more than 30 years of experience in finance, project and portfolio management, risk management, audit compliance, operations, and strategic leadership.

My private-sector career has taught me to manage budgets, control costs, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable results while remaining accountable for every dollar spent. I will bring that same disciplined approach to public service by protecting taxpayer dollars, strengthening financial oversight, improving government efficiency, and ensuring transparency.

While businesses measure success by profitability, I will measure success by maximizing the value of every public dollar, maintaining financial stability, and serving the best interests of our community.

Working across diverse industries, international markets, and multicultural teams has strengthened my ability to build consensus, solve complex problems, and lead with integrity, accountability, and collaboration. Throughout my career, I have earned a reputation for delivering results and being a responsible steward of financial resources.

Professional accomplishments:

• Introduced innovative checks-and-balances processes, led company-wide quality improvement initiatives and training programs to successfully re-engineering core business operations and infrastructure.
• Managed and executed global projects simultaneously with combined budgets exceeding $300 million, consistently delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Directed complex projects across cross-functional teams and global stakeholders, overseeing all phases from planning, development and execution.
• Developed and implemented General Ledger and intercompany financial processing systems in compliance with accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Participated in and led ISO 9000, TL 9000, and SEI-CMM quality compliance audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence.

I am equipped with the financial expertise, management skills, and commitment to accountability necessary to serve taxpayers effectively and responsibly as McHenry County Treasurer.
